Tennessee crops: 92 percent apples in full freshness

Warmer continue helped farmers make poignant planting swell final week.  Fifty-four percent of a state’s corn stand has been planted and 26 percent emerged.  Fourteen percent of soybeans have been planted.  Ninety-eight percent of a winter wheat stand has jointed and 81 percent headed.  Sixty-one percent of a stand is rated good to excellent.

Ninety-two percent of apples are in full freshness and 65
percent is rated good to excellent.  60
percent of strawberries are rated good to excellent. 

Sixty-seven percent of pastures are rated good to excellent.

100 percent of Topsoil and Subsoil are called adequate to
surplus.
