Much like how Singer or Emory Motorsports leaves a lasting impression on air-cooled Porsches, Redux introduces the same level of bespoke restoration to another classic German-automotive icon — the BMW E30 M3.
Redux offers clients the option of providing a donor E30, or they can source one themselves. After receiving the BMW E30, the team starts by gutting the entire car to bare metal, inspecting and repairing any imperfections. The chassis is then jigged to ensure straightness of the frame. One of the biggest enhancements can be seen in the drivetrain, where the stock 2.3-litre, 4-cylinder S14 engine has been bored out to 2.5-litres and has been equipped with custom conrods and pistons. For those looking for more power, there’s also a turbocharged option that sees the E30 M3’s numbers rise to 387 horsepower and 390 pound-feet of torque.
To increase the sports car’s handling, Redux has upgraded its bespoke E30 with a number of suspension parts like EXE-TC 3-way adjustable coil overs, large anti-roll bars, stiffer bushings, and custom front and rear cross members. There’s no base price just yet, but we are guessing that the cost will vary tremendously due to the number of optional add-ons available — options such as the roll cage and carbon-ceramic brakes — but we do know that the British tuners will only be producing 30 examples in honor of the E30 body style code. Those interested can head over to Redux’s webpage for more info on the number of enhancements and optional packages.
In other automotive news, Elon Musk has just unveiled the Tesla Model Y.
