Across America, school districts are making the difficult decision to close due to coronavirus. An unintended consequence for kids is losing valuable learning and instruction time.

The earliest years are most important for a child’s development, and missing out on learning now could have devastating impact on their future growth. As national leaders in early childhood education, Save the Children is committed to help children and families during this uncertain time by providing learning resources for our nation’s youngest learners.

You’re not alone. As the world’s leading expert on childhood, we’re here to help by providing tools and tips you can trust for parents, caregivers, teachers and all those who care about children in crisis.

Our partner, No Kid Hungry, is setting aside grant funding to ensure children across the country have access to free meals during temporary school closures. School districts, community organizations and government agencies in need of assistance can contact No Kid Hungry at their COVID-19 support inquiry form. Organizations eligible for funding will be contacted directly to submit an application.
